Meet Alison, CEO of Seniors Services Society of BC. This New Westminster-based registered charity provides local and provincial programs to support vulnerable older adults so they can live as independently as possible.

Incorporated under its new name in 2006, the Senior Services Society of BC has over 50 years of experience serving seniors in the Lower Mainland. Run by a dedicated team of 80 volunteers and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the services they offer include a Meals on Wheels service, mental health outreach, temporary housing, and a seniors loan program.

Normally, the team would host in-person events, but right now, they have shifted to virtual with in-person visits allowed by appointment only due to COVID-19 protocols.
